Our Hearing Services

Reconnect with the World Around You

At Gomti Clinic, we believe that hearing health is essential to your overall well-being. Whether you are noticing the first signs of hearing loss or looking to upgrade your current devices, our team of certified audiologists is here to guide you through every step of the journey from precise diagnostics to personalized rehabilitation.

1. Comprehensive Diagnostic Hearing Evaluations

A hearing test is more than just raising your hand when you hear a beep. We use state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to assess the complete health of your auditory system.

Pure Tone Audiometry

This is the gold standard for measuring hearing sensitivity. We determine the quietest sounds you can hear at different pitches (frequencies). This helps us map the degree, type, and configuration of any hearing loss.

Speech Audiometry

Hearing isn't just about volume; it's about clarity. In this test, we evaluate your ability to understand speech in both quiet and noisy environments. This crucial step helps us predict how much benefit you will derive from hearing aids.

Middle Ear Analysis (Tympanometry)

We assess the function of your eardrum and the middle ear bones. This quick, painless test can identify issues such as:

  • Fluid behind the eardrum (Otitis Media).

  • Eustachian tube dysfunction.

  • Perforations or stiffness in the eardrum.

Otoacoustic Emissions (OAEs)

This test checks the response of the microscopic "hair cells" in your inner ear (cochlea). It is an objective test that requires no response from the patient, making it excellent for testing infants, young children, or difficult-to-test populations.

2. Hearing Aid Fitting & Rehabilitation

Buying a hearing aid is not the same as buying glasses; it requires expert tuning to match your brain's processing. We offer a holistic fitting process.

  • Prescription & Selection: We are independent providers, meaning we offer technology from all major global manufacturers (Oticon, Phonak, Signia, Widex, ReSound, Starkey). We choose the device that fits your lifestyle and budget.

  • Real Ear Measurement (REM): This is the most critical step in fitting. We place a tiny microphone in your ear canal to measure exactly how the hearing aid is performing while you wear it. This ensures your prescription is 100% accurate to your unique ear anatomy.

  • Follow-up Care: Your hearing changes, and so should your device settings. Our service packages include regular cleaning, firmware updates, and fine-tuning adjustments.

3. Tinnitus Management Solutions

Ringing, buzzing, or hissing in the ears? You are not alone. While there is no "cure" for tinnitus, it can be effectively managed.

  • Tinnitus Assessment: We identify the pitch and loudness of your tinnitus to track changes over time.

  • Sound Therapy: We utilize sound generators and specialized masking features within hearing aids (including fractal tones and white/brown noise) to reduce the perception of the ringing.

  • Counseling & CBT Strategies: We provide education on the neurophysiology of tinnitus to help reduce the anxiety and stress often associated with the condition.

4. Custom Hearing Protection

Preserve the hearing you have. We take custom impressions of your ears to create perfectly fitting plugs for specific needs:

  • Musicians' Plugs: Attenuate volume without distorting the music's fidelity.

  • Swim Plugs: Keep water out to prevent swimmer’s ear.

  • Sleep Plugs: Soft, comfortable silicone to block out snoring or traffic noise.

  • Industrial/Shooting Protection: Maximum noise reduction for high-decibel environments.

Our Speech & Language Therapy Services

Finding Your Voice, Confidence, and Connection

At [Clinic Name], we understand that communication is the foundation of human connection. Whether you are a parent concerned about your child’s development or an adult recovering from a medical event, our certified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) provide compassionate, evidence-based care to help you communicate with clarity and confidence.

1. Speech & Language Therapy

Early intervention is key. We work with children from infancy through adolescence to overcome developmental hurdles and unlock their full potential.

Speech Sound Disorders (Articulation & Phonology)

Does your child have trouble pronouncing specific sounds (like 'r', 's', or 'l') or are they difficult to understand? We use engaging, play-based therapy to correct articulation errors and help children speak clearly.

Language Delays & Disorders

We assist children who struggle to express themselves (Expressive Language) or understand what is being said to them (Receptive Language). Our therapy focuses on building vocabulary, improving sentence structure, and following directions.

Stuttering (Fluency) Therapy

We create a supportive environment to help children manage stuttering. Our approach focuses on increasing fluency, reducing physical tension, and building the confidence to speak freely without fear.

Autism & Social Communication

Communication is more than just words. We help neurodiverse children navigate social interactions, understand non-verbal cues, and develop functional communication skills that respect their unique way of processing the world.

2. Adult Speech & Rehabilitation

Communication challenges can arise at any age. We help adults regain lost skills and adapt to new changes.

Aphasia Recovery (Post-Stroke)

For individuals recovering from a stroke or brain injury, finding words can be frustrating. We design personalized rehabilitation programs to retrain the brain, improving speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.

Voice Therapy

Hoarseness, vocal strain, or weakness can impact your career and social life. We treat disorders such as vocal nodules, muscle tension dysphonia, and Parkinson’s-related voice changes (using techniques like LSVT LOUD® if certified).

Dysarthria & Apraxia

We provide muscle strengthening and coordination exercises for individuals with motor speech disorders caused by neurological conditions (like MS, ALS, or TBI) to improve speech clarity and volume.

3. Swallowing & Feeding Therapy (Dysphagia)

Eating and drinking should be safe and enjoyable. We assess and treat swallowing difficulties in both children and adults.

  • Clinical Swallowing Evaluations: A bedside assessment to check the safety of your swallow.

  • Diet Modification: Recommendations for food textures and liquid consistencies to prevent choking or aspiration.

  • Oral Motor Therapy: Exercises to strengthen the muscles of the mouth and throat used for chewing and swallowing.

  • Picky/Sensory Feeding: Helping "problem feeders" expand their diet and overcome sensory aversions to food textures.

4. Specialized Services

Accent Modification

For professionals looking to refine their English pronunciation for better clarity in the workplace. This is an elective service focusing on intonation, stress patterns, and vowel sounds.

Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC)

For those with limited verbal speech, we assess and implement high-tech (speech-generating devices) and low-tech (picture boards) solutions to ensure every patient has a way to communicate their wants and needs.
